Pastor Steve’s Retirement

During the month of December 2021, Christ Lutheran Community Church celebrated the ministry of Pastor Steve Keiser as he prepared to retire at the end of the month. We continue to hold Pastor Steve in prayer with gratitude as he enters this next chapter of his ministry and life.

Pastoral Transition

We are eager to call our next pastor and are working on that process. However, we know that a lot can happen along “the way.” Scripture is full of such stories: a woman reaches out to touch Jesus’ garment and is healed; a blind man calls out for mercy and has sight restored; follower of Jesus had their hearts burn within them as they encountered the risen Christ on the way to Emmaus; the Ethiopian eunuch with new understanding is baptized by Philip; and Saul has an encounter that gives him new purpose and meaning as Paul. These “in between” times are holy times.

Call Committee

The Call Committee has been established. The members are:

Transition Mission Site Profile

The Transition Team completed the work on the Mission Site Profile. This is a document that seeks to articulate who we are as a community of faith and what we are looking for in our next pastor.

Grounded in Prayer

As with all things, we ask that you continue to keep Pastor Steve, the congregation, its leadership, and our yet unknown next pastor in your prayers.

O God, you have called your servants to ventures of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through perils unknown. Give us faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go, but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
